Securitize, a pioneering platform in asset tokenization, has announced its intention to go public through a merger with Cantor Equity Partners II, valuing the company at $1.25 billion.

The platform disclosed the strategic move on October 28, 2025, with this set to mark a major development for the tokenization industry.

Securitize is at the forefront of bringing global financial institutions onchain.

Securitize going public at $1.25 billion valuation

The move sees it join a growing number of crypto-focused companies going public across Wall Street and elsewhere.

In its case, the platform, renowned for its role in tokenizing assets for entities such as BlackRock and Apollo, will merge with Cantor Equity Partners II as it eyes the $1.25 billion listing.

Cantor Equity Partners is a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) sponsored by Cantor Fitzgerald.

The transaction is anticipated to generate up to $469 million in gross proceeds, including a $225 million private investment in public equity (PIPE) financing round.

This capital infusion will enhance Securitize’s ability to scale its operations and advance its mission of making capital markets more accessible and efficient through tokenization.

Going public sees Securitize cement its position as a leader in the tokenization space.

The platform, which has facilitated over $4 billion in tokenized assets, could attract even more attention as a public entity.

The company’s platform offers a comprehensive ecosystem, integrating with major blockchains and financial institutions.

It stands out as the first vertically integrated, SEC-registered tokenization provider.

BlackRock and Apollo are among firms to tokenize funds with Securitize.

The real-world asset (RWA) tokenization market has expanded by 135% over the past year, reaching a total value of $35 billion, according to recent data.

Analysts at Citi project that the tokenized RWA sector could climb to nearly $4 trillion by 2030.

Lightning Stock Exchange (Lise), a new trading platform headquartered in France, has secured a Distributed Ledger Technology Trading and Settlement (DLT TSS) license from the Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR).

The approval marks a major step toward launching what Lise describes as Europe’s first fully tokenized equity exchange dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

“This approval authorizes us to operate the first tokenized stock exchange dedicated to equities in Europe,” said Lise’s managing director, Mark Kepeneghian, in a LinkedIn statement announcing the milestone.

Backed by leading French financial institutions including BNP Paribas and Bpifrance, Lise operates as a subsidiary of Kriptown — a company that brands itself as a “neo-exchange for startups and SMEs” focused on digital assets.

The exchange aims to bridge traditional finance with blockchain innovation, offering a regulated venue for SMEs to raise capital through tokenized equity offerings.

Understanding the DLT TSS license and its role

The DLT TSS license falls under the European Union’s DLT Pilot Regime, which provides a regulatory framework for market infrastructures using distributed ledger technology.

Introduced in March 2023, the DLT Pilot Regime governs the trading and settlement of financial instruments that qualify as crypto assets under the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II).

According to Lise, the license enables the creation of next-generation market infrastructure by integrating both market and post-trade functions within a single system.

This approach combines the roles of multilateral trading facilities (MTFs) and central securities depositories (CSDs), allowing for a more streamlined and efficient trading environment.

The company described the move as a “profound shift in how financial markets operate,” suggesting that blockchain-based settlement could significantly reduce transaction costs and processing times while improving transparency and security.

Tokenized IPOs set for launch in 2026

Lise’s approval follows its emergence from stealth in April 2025, when the company outlined its mission to “fundamentally rethink” the concept of initial public offerings (IPOs).

By leveraging blockchain technology, Lise plans to create a secure and cost-efficient alternative to traditional public listings.

“The first tokenized IPOs are expected to take place in early 2026, following the completion of issuer onboarding and final operational readiness testing,” Kepeneghian told Cointelegraph.

The company expects its debut tokenized IPO to serve as a proof-of-concept for its model, with plans to tokenize 10 additional IPOs in 2027.

The initiative has attracted attention from several major European banks.

In August, Caceis — the asset servicing arm of French banking group Crédit Agricole — acquired a minority stake in Kriptown to support Lise’s development.

Caceis said the move aligns with its long-term digital asset strategy and commitment to transforming financial market infrastructure.

Lise’s tokenization push comes amid growing momentum for tokenized securities across Europe.

Earlier this year, crypto exchanges such as Gemini and Kraken began offering tokenized securities to EU clients under the bloc’s evolving regulatory framework.

With its regulatory approval and backing from established financial players, Lise’s entry marks a milestone in Europe’s shift toward blockchain-based capital markets — one that could reshape how SMEs access funding in the digital age.

Tokenization infrastructure firm AlloyX has introduced a new tokenized money market fund on Polygon, reflecting the growing trend of bringing real-world assets (RWAs) to blockchain ecosystems.

The fund, dubbed the Real Yield Token (RYT), aims to merge traditional bank-custodied assets with decentralized finance (DeFi) strategies, offering investors both familiarity and blockchain-native utility.

RYT combines traditional MMF security with DeFi flexibility

RYT represents shares in a conventional money market fund, with the underlying assets held in custody by Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong.

The fund is fully regulated and subject to regular audits, giving investors confidence in its compliance and security.

Like other money market funds, RYT invests in short-term, low-risk instruments, including US Treasurys and commercial paper, ensuring capital preservation while generating modest yields.

The tokenized format, however, introduces new functionality.

RYT shares can be traded onchain and integrated into DeFi protocols, enabling users to employ their holdings as collateral.

Through a DeFi technique known as looping, investors can borrow against their RYT tokens and reinvest the proceeds to enhance yields — a feature not typically available in traditional money market products.

AlloyX chose Polygon for deployment, citing the network’s low fees, fast transaction speeds, and vibrant DeFi ecosystem.

Institutional interest in tokenized money market funds grows

AlloyX is entering a rapidly expanding market.

Large financial institutions have increasingly explored tokenized money market funds to combine the stability of cash-like assets with the efficiency and composability of blockchain.

Notable examples include BlackRock’s USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), which offers tokenized exposure to US dollar yields through Treasury bills and repurchase agreements.

Goldman Sachs and BNY Mellon have also announced plans for similar tokenized MMFs, although these generally do not include DeFi-native functionalities like looping or composability, which set AlloyX’s RYT apart.

According to a June report by Moody’s, tokenized short-term liquidity funds remain a “small but rapidly growing product,” with the market reaching an estimated $5.7 billion since 2021.

The trend underscores growing institutional interest in bridging traditional finance with digital markets while providing investors with onchain access to familiar, low-risk instruments.

Tokenized MMFs address cash management needs in DeFi

The rising adoption of tokenized money market funds is also linked to broader developments in the crypto ecosystem, such as the passage of the GENIUS Act in the United States and increased stablecoin usage.

These factors have heightened demand for onchain products that retain the liquidity and security of cash-like assets.

JPMorgan strategist Teresa Ho told Bloomberg that tokenized MMFs offer a practical alternative to posting cash or Treasurys in DeFi protocols.

“Instead of posting cash, or posting Treasurys, you can post money-market shares and not lose interest along the way. It speaks to the versatility of money funds,” she said, emphasizing the appeal of products like RYT for investors seeking both yield and utility.

AlloyX’s launch represents a notable milestone for tokenized finance, showcasing the potential for traditional instruments to coexist with decentralized protocols while offering innovative ways to generate yield.

As demand for real-world assets on blockchain grows, products like RYT may become a key bridge between conventional finance and DeFi, appealing to both institutional and retail investors seeking secure, liquid, and composable onchain assets.
