With the latest move, World Economic Forum (WEF) has joined the list of leading organizations turning their attention to the future of digital assets such as Bitcoin (BTC) and its growing role in the cryptocurrency industry in the coming times.

In fact, on July 19 the international non-governmental and lobbying organization which is funded by its 1,000 members posted a job ad intending to fill the lead position at its Center for Blockchain & Digital Asset Platform. The Centre for Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Global Network is based in San Francisco, California.

The C4IR Global Network together consists of centers spread across 14 countries around the globe and they together aim to “bring leaders from business, government, international organizations, academia, and civil society to shape the global perspective on technology through high-level meetings, research networks, task forces, and digital collaboration.”

Furthermore, the ad also mentioned that:

“Being a part of C4IR, the Blockchain & Digital Assets Platform will focus on these and blockchain-related topics, including crypto, CBDCs, stablecoins, and Web 3.0.”

As per the description of the job listing the person hired for the position will be responsible for collaborating with multi-stakeholder projects to further support the development of the project and research various innovative ideas and approaches to governance and policies in the respective field around the globe.

Before applying for the position the applicants should also have at least six years of previous experience in the field of emerging technology, digital transformations, and public policy, they should also have at least two years of experience in the field of Blockchain and Digital assets.

It is noteworthy that digital assets were already and continue to be a major topic at the 2022 WEF meeting in Davos back in May. In fact, the event has been taken over by crypto firms promoting rapid adoption of the new digital asset class, with activities such as a free bitcoin pizza stall and a “liquidity lounge” among attendees of the event.

Francis Suarez the Mayor of Miami was one of the speakers at the event, he addressed the WEF panel that despite the collapse of the TerraUSD (USTC) stablecoin and the bearish streak that has ravaged the crypto market, he still gets paid in Bitcoin.
