A new coin, $DIE, surged by around 5500% in the last 24 hours, just after the tweet of Vitalik Buterin.
On 20 October, Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum blockchain, jokingly said during a Twitter chat discussion that there could be a project called “The Protocol” intended as satire and the crypto community created a token called DIE as a response to Vitalik’ joke.
The meaning of DIE in Germany is THE and now the second meaning of DIE is “meme token”.
At the time of writing this article, the price of the DIE token is $0.0₅1879 and this price is now 5,357% high over the last 24 hours’ trade price.
Due to increasing popularity, DIE grabbed support from the Huobi crypto exchange.
