The Hydra 0.8.0 version has been released on GitHub by the IOHK team.
Hydra is a layer-2 scaling solution protocol, which was developed by the Cardano developer team Input Output Hong Kong Global (IOHK). The final 1.0.0 version of Hydra will help the Cardano network to facilitate transactions with scalability of up to 1 million per second, which will be too much in the crypto sector over any other crypto network.
On 27 October, Sebastian Nagel, the lead developer in the Hydra project, took to Twitter to inform the Cardano community about the release of a new version of the Hydra protocol.
Nagel said that the latest release was late but it came with huge numbers of features & improvements.
At present, approximately 7 blockchain developers are contributing to the Hydra project, to make this open-source project into practical use in the crypto industry.
Genius Yield official Twitter account also tweeted on this new release and said that the latest released development works are showing that the team is very near to launching Hydra 1.0.0 and it will play a very vital role to enhance the scalability of the Cardano Blockchain network.
Solana vs Cardano
In the present time, a Proof-of-stake Consensus-based Solana blockchain can process transactions with maximum scalability of 65,000 TPS.
Once in a video interview, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said that the Cardano network will be able to process transactions at scalability near Solana by the end of this year and further development works will make the scalability near to 1 million per second.
