OKX allowing customers to select new meme coin listing

OKX welcomed the customers to vote for their favourite meme coins to list on the exchange.

OKX is an averagely popular Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange and derivatives exchange. This crypto platform was founded by Star Xu in 2017. The services of OKX exchange are not available in the United States. Jay Hao is the current CEO of this exchange & Haider Rafique is the current CMO. 

In terms of total 24-hour global trade volume on this platform, this Exchange stands at 6th rank, following ByBit crypto exchange.

On 21 April 2023, the OKX exchange invited its users on Twitter to vote their favourite meme coins out of Aidoge, Bone, Bonk, Opti, Pepe tokens. 

Exchange confirmed that it will list the top-voted three crypto assets on the exchange.

The last date to vote for these meme coins is 24 April and also the users are required to go through the OKX Exchange’s official website to vote.

To keep fake voters away from the platform, OKX will not allow those OKX account holders which are holding balances less than $10 (in crypto assets). 

Surge in meme coin population

Before 2020 there were only a few numbers of meme coins in the crypto sector but the entry of Tesla CEO Elon Musk in the crypto sector, with Dogecoin support, resulted in the inflow of huge numbers of meme tokens. 

In the present time, the top methe coins are Dogecoin, Dogelon Mars, Shiba Inu, Pepe token, bone Token, etc. If we closely try to find out the total number of meme coins then we will get more than 340+.
