Crypto security platform warned people to remain away from Uniswap phishing scams.
Uniswap is a popular Defi crypto exchange, available on three major blockchain networks. By trade volume, Uniswap is the top-ranked decentralized crypto exchange.
On 15 April 2023, Crypto platform Pocket Universe, a crypto transaction checker platform to keep crypto scams away, informed the crypto sector that Uniswap exchange was exploited and further suggested saving funds via visiting a link (actually a suspicious link to hack crypto wallet).

Popular Crypto security platform PeckShield instantly reported that the Uniswap exchange was not exploited by anyone and also the fake information was spread by a fake “Pocket Universe” Twitter account.
This is a phishing account and the tweets make completely false statements to trigger you to click the phishing link to steal your tokens.

Further Pocket Universe team informed followers that it was not a Pocket Universe team, instead, some bad actors were trying to trick the innocent crypto investors.

Uniswap token
Uniswap token (UNI) is a native token on the Uniswap crypto exchange and the price graph of this exchange confirmed that fake news failed to impact the Uni trade price.
The current Uni trade price is $6.25 & this trade price is 6.42% high over the last 7 days of trade price.
Fake news in the crypto sector
This was not the first time when bad actors used fake news or information to trick innocent crypto investors.
Earlier in September 2021, a few bad actors spread the news about Litecoin (LTC) & Walmart partnership to pump LTC price but later Walmart & LTC team officially confirmed that the news was fake.
