Popular TV personality Mark Cuban explained why he invests in Bitcoin over Gold and also shared the factors why he believes Bitcoin is the best store of value.
Mark Cuban, born July 31, 1958, is an American entrepreneur known for his involvement with the Dallas Mavericks, 2929 Entertainment, and as a “shark” on Shark Tank. The first time he purchased Bitcoin but faced a loss because he sold his Bitcoin in the bear phase under panic but later he realised that he had made a big mistake. Later he studied Bitcoin & blockchain and also started studying other top crypto projects to invest money.
On 5 March 2024, Mark Cuban appeared in an interview with CNBC TV. In the interview, he said that he is uncertain about the actual fraction of portfolio he has in Bitcoin & Crypto but he is happy.
Furthermore, he said there is only 21 million Bitcoins and only a few people will sell & huge numbers of people will buy, so the trade price of Bitcoin will only surge.
According to Shark Tank star, Bitcoin’s nature is really good & better to invest as a store of value and this is the reason why he invests in Bitcoin.
In the past, Cuban disclosed that his crypto portfolio includes 60% in Bitcoin, 30% in Ethereum, & 10% in other crypto tokens.
Cuban appreciated the Ethereum blockchain and called it different from Bitcoin. He said that the value of Ethereum depends upon the utility of the Ethereum network and also more utility will come when Ethereum spot ETF applications secure approval from the US Securities regulatory body.
On the negative points of crypto, Cuban said that there is a need for a Crypto app that can be used by every age of people so that everyone can understand the need for Crypto & crypto use.
Furthermore, he said that his perspective is currently focused on the investment in Bitcoin over Gold all day every day.
