Trust Crypto wallet urges Apple smartphone users to disable “iMessage”

Trust Crypto wallet urges Apple smartphone users to disable “iMessage” 20

On behalf of credible intel, the Trust wallet team urged Apple smartphone users to disable the iMessage app as soon as possible to avoid hacking their Trust wallet.

iMessage is a special messaging service for Apple devices like iPhones and iPads. We can send text messages over the internet for free, and they have extra features like showing when someone reads your message. They’re blue instead of green like regular texts, and you can also send fun stuff like stickers and animations with them.

On 16 April 2024, The Trust Wallet team urged all the Trust Wallet iOS app users to disable the iMessage app.

As per shared information, someone is selling a high-risk zero-day exploit code on the Dark web, which is really a very risky thing for iMessage users.

Furthermore, the Trust Wallet team said that if the attacker targets any iMessage user then in that situation the attacker will be able to infiltrate iPhone devices without forcing the victim to click any link.

The Trust Wallet team said that all Trust Wallet iOS app users should keep their iMessage app disabled until the Apple team fixes this issue with a new patch update.

The company’s boss, Eowyn Chen, shared a picture to explain that it could be a secret way to hack iPhone devices. She says someone wants $2 million for the hack/exploiter code.

It is worth it to note that Apple is known for its highly secured devices & apps but such news is disappointing for Apple smartphone users.

If any attacker successfully targets all iPhone users then surely billions of worth of crypto will be at risk.

Last month, cybersecurity company Halborn warned that over 280 blockchain networks are at risk of zero-day exploits & could be in danger of secret hacking attacks. These attacks could risk at least $25 billion worth of cryptocurrency.
