He is currently the owner of HTX exchange (formerly Huobi Global) and Poloniex crypto exchange. Despite a successful career in the crypto sector, Justin went through several controversies. Currently, Justin is in the criminal list of the American securities regulatory body, as he violated several US financial rules via his crypto projects.
On 26 May 2024, Justin Sun took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to share his views on the current US politics & Crypto.
Justin suggested crypto people support only a US Presidential candidate who is pro-crypto. Furthermore, he said that Crypto people need to show the candidate that the cryptocurrency community, companies, and protocols are important and their interests should be considered.

However here Justin didn’t use the name of any US presidential candidate but it seems that he indirectly showed his support for former US president Donald Trump, who has been a top name in the election campaign these days.
Earlier this Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson supported Trump directly. He openly said that Crypto people should vote for Trump to provide better clarity for the crypto sector.
