The CoinStats team was informed that they faced a security attack & some of the users received scam messages. Initial investigation found that attack might be a very big incident.

On 23 June 2024, The CoinStats team reported that a recent security incident had been mitigated, and they temporarily shut down their application to address it.
They confirmed that connected wallets and exchanges were not impacted. Due to their quick response, only 1.3% of CoinStats Wallets, totalling 1,590, were affected, though this number may change as the investigation continues.

Affected users were advised to move their funds immediately. The team is investigating the extent of the funds moved and will provide updates soon, working to restore the app as quickly as possible.
The investigation also revealed that the victims of this attack were iOS users. They received a scam message and connected their crypto wallet to the suspicious website.
In particular, a wallet owned by Blurr.eth was stolen, containing 3,657 MKR valued at $8.7 million. The hacker sold it for 2,482 ETH on the blockchain. As a result, the trade price of $MKR coin dropped from $2,462 to $2,280, a decrease of 7% in the short term.
