On 6 June 2024, A new meme token called Hulkmania ($HULK) entered the meme coin scene.
This meme token got a high degree of attention when multiple times WWE winner champion Hulk Hogan’s X account mentioned it. However, the post was deleted, indicating that Hulk Hogan’s account might have been hacked.
All the tweets from the X account of American wrestler & WWE champion @hulkhogan account have been deleted/private.

On chain investigation found that insiders purchased 15% of the token supply & sold for millions of dollars in profit before the price crash.
Because of the sudden high amount of token sales, the trade price of the token crashed by 80% within 15 minutes.
A new X account for the $Hulk meme Token was created by an unknown person today & he is promoting this token as the best meme token and also used some gif images of Hulk Hogan.
No one knows what happened in reality, whether there were hackers in reality or it was Hulk Hogan himself.
Today Hogan clarified via his official Instagram account that he was not behind those $Hulk meme tweets & also suggested people ignore all those tweets.
Celebrity & meme token scam
In 2024, the majority of the meme tokens grabbed significant attraction among crypto investors.
Many celebrities misused their popularity to make money via the launch of new meme tokens.
Just a few days ago, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin talked about these issues & noted that celebrities & early investors are making huge money from crypto but other people are facing only losses with such cultures.
