On 15 Dec 2024, a Popular Canadian rapper who has been named in the music industry globally, Drake, promoted a Solana network-based crypto meme token.
Later, many people identified that it was not Drake; instead, an unknown actor hacked Drake’s X account & posted about that meme token.

The unknown hacker tried to show that Drake partnered with that meme token, but the Crypto community was quick to identify this whole hack & scam game.
Following this incident, the official X account of the Solana meme token was suspended.
X hacking & crypto token promotion
These days, it is a very common thing to see hacks of popular X accounts by hackers & promote crypto tokens. Over the last 3 years, many celebrities, including government agencies, have faced hack incidents on the X platform.
Last week, Cardano ($ADA) blockchain founder Charles Hoskinson talked about the increasing hacking incidents around the X ecosystem; as Cardano Foundation’s X account was hacked & hacker promoted a Solana network-based meme token.
Hoskinson proposed a solution for X’s owner, Elon Musk, to fix the vulnerability for free. Earlier before, Hoskinson asked Musk to allow the Cardano team to implement a technology to fight against hacking incidents, but so far, Musk has never shown any attention.
