Vitalik adopts a pygmy hippopotamus named Moo Deng, $MooDeng Token pumps sharply

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin showed his full-hearted support for the pygmy hippopotamus and donated 10 million Thai Baht, Thai fiat currency, to a zoo.

Moo Deng is the name of a pygmy hippopotamus. In Sep 2024, Moo Deng gained internet fame due to her expressive personality and charming social media videos shared by Thailand’s Khao Kheow Open Zoo.

On 26 Dec 2024, Khao Kheow Open Zoo authorities officially confirmed that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin joined the Wildlife Sponsorship Program and adopted Moo Deng with a generous gift (donation for the zoo) of 10,000,000 THB ( worth nearly $292,000).

The donation by Vitalik will be made in two instalments; the first donation completed on 26 Dec 2024.

In response, Vitalik Buterin thanked the zoo authorities for allowing him to join the wildlife animal-saving culture and said that if it is possible, then he would increase his donation amount for the zoo animals.

Following this news, many people noted that $MooDeng named crypto tokens in the crypto space are getting a better level of popularity, as Ethereum co-founder Vitalik showed his interest in this unique animal.

The trade price of one of the $MooDeng tokens is $0.29, which has surged 2.4% in the last 24 hours.

Some crypto X (formerly Twitter) users said that it would be just like the opportunity to buy this token at a low trade price, on the other hand, some crypto analysts suggested remaining away from this token, as no one Crypto entrepreneur talked about this token so this token is risky for now for expecting better return under current scenario.
