El Salvador & Bhutan governments are heading toward Bitcoin accumulation with their independent Bitcoin adoption strategy & it is triggering a big question among Bitcoin enthusiasts about the position of top leader in this term.
El Salvador & Bitcoin
In September 2021, El Salvador adopted Bitcoin as a legal tender, and at present, this country is holding a total of 6,005 BTC.
This country is buying & mining Bitcoin at a slow speed.
On 18 November 2024, this country purchased 778 BTC, the highest after Bitcoin adoption.
This country is also allowing the country’s citizens to invest in a bond, backed by Bitcoin value & related government projects.
Bhutan & Bitcoin
However, Bhutan never officially announced Bitcoin adoption in any way of the payment system, but step-by-step efforts to establish Bitcoin mining centres at big scales helped the country to collect a huge amount of Bitcoin.
Currently, the Bhutan government is holding 13,029 BTC, which is nearly double the amount of Bitcoin held by El Salvador.
Without the direct Bitcoin adoption idea, this country is holding significantly more Bitcoin than El Salvador. So here it is difficult to say which country is ahead of others, but here we can say that competition is increasing rapidly.
New country to start buying Bitcoin
Recently, the El Salvador president shared a news report by Polymarket, which claims that there is a 75% probability that a new country may enter into the Bitcoin investment idea.
As per reports, Bitcoin strategic investment-related discussions are active in nearly 21 countries.
