Although there are no other details of the partnership at the time of press, this partnership is another impressive move for VeChain.
VeChain’s History Of Large Scale Partnerships
VeChain has added their partnership with Schneider Electric to a pretty impressive list of large-scale partnerships including BMW, Walmart, and Shopping.io.
BMW is using VeChain to track and prevent odometer fraud during car sales. This is currently being developed, and although there’s been no recent news, it appears BMW wants to keep the progress of the project quiet. According to the VeChain ecosystem advisor at the time of project launch:
“BMW Asia was VERY kind to allow us to reveal their partnership w/ [VeChain]. We have to wait till the project is over to share more details, just like the other projects. Kudos to them!”
Last year, VeChain partnered with Walmart China to track food products through supply chains. And this year, VeChain partnered with shopping.io, in a move that would enable token holders to use their $VET for online purchases from major retailers like Amazon, eBay, Etsy, and Walmart.
Earlier this month, the government of inner Mongolia chose the VeChain blockchain (VeChainThor) to power a massive, full traceability program. The VeChain foundation saw this adoption as a giant step for blockchain in general:
“We are proud to announce that the Government of Inner Mongolia, China has chosen VeChainThor to power a massive, full traceability platform! This milestone, Government-led project is a massive step forward for VeChain and the mass adoption of blockchain.”
The overall adoption of VeChain by large players over the past couple of years continues to grow, despite the love or hate attitude of the blockchain across the space.
VeChain is up approximately 450 % for the year.
